N2-acetylphenelzine for social phobia?

Posted by Lamdage22 on August 29, 2016, at 8:10:24

Hey yall,

i went psycho on Nardil, but the pro-social effects other than that where pretty amazing. I have moderate financial means, i dont know if i could help the gaba-t inhibitor N2-acetylphenelzine onto the market?

I think more people could benefit from the GABAergic effect that cannot tolerate MAOI.

We know it is safe because people have taken Nardil for ages.

Yeah, I would avoid going to a chemical supplier. Most often these drugs are not prepared for human consumption.

You might try something with a similar mechanism of action (topirimate or valproate).

No topirimate isn't (as far as I'm aware), but valproate is.

Topiramate does appear to have some GABAergic mechanism, however, as it appears helpful in alcohol related diseases.

You sure you have this straight?

This abstract says exactly the opposite: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1881457

That n2-acetylphenelzine has NO appreciable Gaba-T inhibition.

What's your logic here, maybe i'm missing something or don't understand....very intrigued buy your proposal, but can you provide more background or references?
