Metformin for weight loss - any success stories

Posted by Ben on July 24, 2016, at 2:08:19

I take Parnate with Lithium, T4 and other meds for BP disorder. Unfortunately I gained a lot of weight. Does anyone had success with Metformin to stop the weight gain or losing weight?

Mostly stop further weigh gain. But my antipsychotics dosage is very high.

I am losing weight right now. I dont think this would be possible without Metformin.

From what i have heard you should get regular bloodwork to check if your kidney is fine. When you do that, Metformin is very safe. It can even prolong life.

Its worth a shot totally if you ask me..
