I take 2500mg of Keppra, which I like, but it's not really strong enough. I also take 180-200mg of Geodon, which helps my depression but doesn't really help with mania.
Since I'm at the high end of Keppra, I think I need to add on another anti manic Med. I've tried and failed a lot of them. I see my doc on Monday. I'm thinking of asking her to add back a little lithium to my meds. Lithium caused the least amount of side effects. At the higher dose it gave me thyroid nodules, so I'd have to keep a check on my thyroid function and my Synthroid dose.
Any other suggestions for an add on that would help with mania? I'm feeling so shaky all the time I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. I think the Geodon is causing the shakes. I can't take it.

Be not deceived. Here is an example of what is in store for you or your child if you are swayed by psychiatry and the TV commercials to drug yourself or your child in collaboration with a psychiatrist. The poster write,[...I can't take it...] as what is happening to her with the drug called Geodon.
You see, by reading here you could be seriously misled to believe that these drugs are safer than they really are, from the drugs inducing violence and be led to addiction, life-ruining conditions and death. Thousands die each month from these drugs. And innocent people are killed by the druggers having violence induced into them by the drugs. What sane person would give these drugs to children? You see, the FDA requires that when these drugs are promoted, that the adverse consequences be made known and that is not required by Mr. Hsiung here. That could lead to your death or the death of your child that you may be drugging in collaboration with a psychiatrist.
And worse, Mr. Hsiung states that his thinking is that it is supportive to allow hatred toward me and anti-Semitic propaganda to be seen as being supportive here by him as he thinks that he is justified in doing so because by him allowing it, his community will be improved. But what this does can cause readers to reject what I post that I think could save your lives. It would come from a Jewish perspective as revealed to me which he prohibits me to post here. This poster here that I am responding to could have a new mind and have healing to bring her out of the darkness of addiction and depression and the horrors that could befall her from the drugs if she was
allowed to hear from me. Her blood will not be upon me.

Sheila is not drugging her child. The meds are for her. Did you go back on your meds yet? Or is the ear ringing still a problem. Which med was it that caused this? Phillipa

Lamictal? I don't recall if you've tried that, and I realize depression isn't your problem. I find it has a calming affect. My mood issues are expressed as dysphoric agitation and depression.
I thought lithium gave you acne as well as a thyroid nodule? Well, it's a pretty common add-on. 300 mg might be good. Were you thinking about more?

Actually, I think you're right, I think lithium did give me acne. Oh well. But that was at 600mg and more.
I do have severe depression, but Geodon fixes that perfectly, it just doesn't cover the mania.
I can kind of get around the mania by taking 160mg of Geodon at night and 40mg of Geodon, along with 5mg of Adderall xr in the morning. Without the low dose of Adderall the Geodon puts me to sleep.
But possibly adding a low dose of maybe 300mg of lithium in the morning might help just as good or better than the additional daytime 40mg Geodon and I can skip the Adderall.

Phillipa,
Readers here could be children and adults. And there also could be mothers trying to make a more-informed decision as to drug their child in collaboration with a psychiatrist.
I am trying to save lives here because Mr. Hsiung allows these drugs to be promoted without a balanced portrayal of what the consequences could be to those being led falsely here to think that these drugs are safer than they really are because readers could be seriously misled by Mr. Hsiung because readers could think that these drugs are being ratified as being safe to take because a psychiatrist is chairing this site and readers could think tat he condoned all that is being promoted here including taking drugs that are addictive, can cause life-ruining conditions and death. Granted, it is worse for children, but adults are killed by the thousands each month by these drugs. Those killed could have taken the drugs by seeing here that it is supportive by the psychiatrist to do so.
Today, I read in the morning paper a man that was sentenced for murder. He did not even know the one killed. But he gave heroin to someone that passed the drug to a women that died from the drug. He was convicted of murder.
Here, readers could react to seeing that these drugs a re being allowed to be promoted by a psychiatrist and there are many deaths of members from these drugs as members are allowed with impunity t post what could kill a person, all while the psychiatrist does not intercede with warnings of addiction, life-ruining conditions and made to suffer a horrible death, including children, drugged by their parents in collaboration with a psychiatrist.
Their blood will not be upon me.
Lou
