Pregabalin side effects

Posted by MrChips on June 8, 2016, at 20:31:14

Hi,
Been taking 200mg Pregabalin for a year and it's making me (increasingly) stupid - can't think, spell, remember anything or even speak properly most of the time. I'm in my 20's but feel more like a 90 year old. It also causes a weird tingling sensation in my jaw and gums that spreads around my head.
I've tried reducing it but it's difficult as it does really help anxiety and pain.

Has anyone else had these effects or similar and does it get better once you come off the drug?

Hi! Lyrica certainly helps ease anxiety. I take 200mg a day and have for two years. I don't have the physical sensations you describe; in fact, pregabalin helps with overall fibromyalgia related discomfort, but I have heard this complaint from others. I understand that everything you describe remits upon discontinuation.

Are you treating anything in addition to anxiety?
