Thoughts & experiences on combining an SSRI and a SNRI?
I know there might be the risk of serotonin syndrome with certain combinations; a higher risk when combining SSRI with another SSRI.
I'm doing my educational research before my appointment with my new psychiatrist I've only seen once, but really had a great first-visit with!
Thinking I might be having the Prozac Poop-out experience. I'm a 26-year fluoxetine veteran consumer currently taking 40mg daily, augmented with .5mg of clonazepam. Here's some good reading material.
Thanks!

hmmmm...personally, I'd go for Wellbutrin or remeron, maybe a low dose stimulant.
low dose olanzapine is also a good option for some people on Prozac...buspar helps some people...low dose aripiprazole...lamictal...
I'm --clearly-- not any kinda expert, much less your prescriber, but...the SSRI+SNRI idea doesn't appeal to me as much (intuitively) as some other combinations.
But, hey...talk to your doctor and see what happens. Good luck!
