They should totally be ashamed, but they are probably not. Heck, "they" (if there is even a "they" there) don't even have the resources to monitor many of the factories outside of the United States that produce "our" drugs, so why would "they" have the time to care about their serfs, us. Brintellix was something like $350/month for me with a "discount." F the FDA and F the corporate oligarchical pharmaceutical industry.
But according to purist American neoliberal ideology, you wouldn't have access to that drug unless our government gave all us of the unregulated gift of "freedom" to produce it. (The "world" bursts out in worshipful applause and sings "America the Beautiful.")
