are you on other meds, too? I think the lamictal people have a specific taper schedule if you're on depakote, but I don't know if they do for other drugs.

I stopped lamictal completely without any problems. But my p-doc got mad about it and said anti-seizure drugs like lamictal can cause seizures if discontinued abruptly. Since I had already stopped, we never talked about how to taper safely. Hope others can help here. Certainly worth asking your prescriber.
