I was told the ideal level is 70ng/ml.
Now my doctor told me that up to 100ng/ml is normal.
I tested 45ng/ml.
Can someone shed light on this?

Blood levels of 25(OH)D3 are not linear with dose. And, individual response is idiosyncratic. You and I could take the same dose and have very different blood concentrations.
If you have a particular blood concentration target in mind, you'll have to find the dose required by experimentation, and repeat blood tests.
Personally, I think any target concentration over 70 ng/ml is excessive.

Monthly tests would be ideal, but every three months might give you the information you seek. Once you have an annual pattern, you won't need to repeat the tests nearly so often. Maybe once a year, to verify your status.
