I am on 20mgs belsomra and am itching. 15 mgs did not seem to help, but I need to go back and try 15mgs to see if the itching stops and if that dose will work at least somewhat. Anybody else have side effects and then have them stop on a lower dose? I know it's an allergic reaction, but is not severe and there is not a rash.
Thx.

> Thx.I'm don't know this med just know it's for sleep. Is it effective? What did you try for sleep prior to this, I'm assuming this wasn't a first line treatment choice? Did the itching stop? It might not necessarily be an allergic reaction, are you having other side effects besides the itching? herpills

I don't have any other side effects. I've tried everything for sleep. You name it, I've tried it.The 15 mgs did not work. I also now take Benadryl for the itching - which helps the itching. I am somewhat groggy in the day though.

Since Belsomra is pretty new, you might be the first Babbler to try it. Is 20 mg helping you sleep?

Yes, the 20 mgs helps, unless I eat too much chocolate.............
It doesn't feel like the Ambien, Klonipin, or Ativan, or Seroquel did, but is still somewhat relaxing. It may take a 'little' longer to work.
The Benadryl with it,(for the itching), helps it work better.
This is the end of the thread.
