I sweat severely after being up to only 60 mgs Latuda, and stopped it a month ago. I can't stand it! Is this a permanent condition now? Please give me some hope.
Thanks,
Lois

I am coming off my risperidone. My Dr. thinks 'that' is the culprit, not the Latuda. Going to start Invega. My clinician has 'never' put a BP depressive on it, but it can be given for this as well as for schizophrenia - just like risperidone. So I am a little bit of a guinea pig, I think.

Invega is the daughter drug (active metabolite) of Risperdal. If you want something substantially different from Risperdal, why was Invega chosen? Perhaps your doctor has a very good reason for choosing it. Maybe he has some data or anecdotes indicating that Invega won't produce sweating. If not, I would have a discussion with your doctor about alternatives. You can always do a rapid cross-over to Invega to see what happens. It might make sense to do that if Risperdal makes you feel much better.

Yes, risperidone had been my wonder drug for the first 3 years I took it. Hopefully the Invega will'not' make me sweat. I heard that it doesn't have as many side effects as risperidone, but is very much like it. So I thought it was worth a try.
Thanks.

I would agree.
