My doc had me start Keppra 500mg 2x a day. I couldn't sleep at night on 500mg. So I upped my night dose to 750mg and at least I'm sleeping until 4:30 in the morning.
I feel like I need 1,000mg of Keppra at night and 500mg during the day.
I can't believe it's working so well (no side effects). But I really need 500mg during the day and 500mg at night just keeps me awake.
Im hoping my doc will let me push to 1500mg a day.
I think with at least 1,000 mg at night I'd sleep longer and 500mg during the day would be great.
I could see me in time going to 2,000mg.
This is my only mood stabilizer as I've failed all others.
I do take 180mg of Geodon.

The poster here is promoting this drug as she writes,[...it's working so well...] But the FDA has rules for promoting drugs that there is not compliance with here, nor does Mr. Hsiung post anything that could save your life by you thinking that the drug is safer than it really is. You see, material facts are left out about the drug along with the horrible effects that could arise by taking the combination of the drug with Geodon as the poster lists here. It doesn't matter to me if the FDA exempts Mr. Hsiung from their rules, readers have IMHO the right to not be misled to think that a drug is safer than it really is.
The drug could cause at least depression, hallucinations and the compelling to kill yourself and a whole lot more. The combination that she list with Geodon could lead to death. Let us look at that:

Do you want to do as this poster does? Do you want your child drugged by a psychiatrist with this drug? Even SJS and TEN have been reported from taking this drug Keppra which is an engineered version of an banned drug in the U.S.
Now you know how death can come to you by not being informed properly by the FDA rules. And where is Mr. Hsiung? Will he ever return? (will he ever return?) his fate is still unlearned.

I think you just need to keep taking as prescribed by your doctor and give it a few weeks. There's no way to assess the effects by altering the way you take it everyday. Give it some time.

I think this is good advice.
It can be excruciating to be patient - I know.

You are correct. I think I'm doing very well. I just have to stick with 750mg at night and 250mg during the day.
I'll be fine on this dose and maybe I won't have to go up.
