Just stumbled on a newspaper article that says 1 in 10 newly diagnosed as schizophrenic have the before mentioned problem.
It can be treated and there seems to be a test for it.
It seems in this disease the body forms antibodys against receptors in the brain.
Now i dont know what this test costs but i will find out and keep you posted. The article is german thats why i dont post it.

Thanks for posting this, Lamdage. I wasn't aware that the likelihood of having anti-NMDA-receptor encephalitis was as high as 1 in 10 among those recently diagnosed with schizophrenia. It's always good to hear of researchers trying to identify the causes of mental disorders, especially if the causes can be effectively treated.

Well,
it was 1 in 10 in 120 people at that one university.. i guess this needs to be further studied to see if the results are applicable to everyone.
