It has a very short elimination half life of about an hour. However, since it was incorporated into the herb yohimbe, it might be released slowly for quite awhile as you digest it. You should be okay soon.
Have you ever tried Remeron in dosages of 45 mg/day or higher? I'm just curious. Yohimbine and Remeron are both NE alpha-2 receptor blockers. This type of drug makes me feel the way you did.

no i've never been on remeron but i have seen tons of posts here on babble about it, prozac mainly is my drug to help the anxiety, yet it's effect has declined, right now im just praying for my health to be restored, for a long period any thing i injested, had minimal effect, and after some faith it has in a way, my zyprexa started to work, i could tell because of the sedation, but for a long while my body didnt respond to hardly anything, i mean.....that feeling of anything that i take to treat symptoms and had hardly any effect, it was a grueling 2 years.......but zyprexa and lamictal work, but nuvigil and the prozac are the problem ones
but remeron, i don't know if my doctor would be willing to work or use it, maybe, maybe not....
i'm trying to get the prozac to 80mg, because that was the dose that really helped, but it's complicated because of this resistance situation.......and that makes me even more scared to think other ones that are used will have little effect
no more energy supplements for me ... lol

Yohimbe? Oh my gosh! Dude, you shouldn't do that.
DO NOT EVER BUY AN HERBAL SUBSTANCE WITHOUT RESEARCHING IT.Look, if you had done just 10 minutes of googling on that, you would have known in advance what your risks were....and you experienced them full force because you probably took a full dose, right?
Wow. The herbal industry is life saving. The problem is, people assume that the same way you take meds is the same way you take herbs. Not so.
People have MDs to tell them how to take a med and what the med will do. But unless they do their own research, they will not know what herbs to take, why to take them, or how to take them.
Yohimbe is a super strong norepinephrine antagonist and agonist and bizarre stuff all in one. A tiny crumb off the tablet is enough to feel like a full dose of Adderall for pete's sake. You would probably have to weigh 500 pounds to absorb a full dose and handle it, and I am constantly amazed and wondering who are the idiots that print the doses sizes on the label? Wow.
I did use Yohimbe as an antidepressant for a few months and it worked great, better than any meds. But it was difficult because the dose had to be tiny and exact. That stuff is really strong!
Yohimbe is a great herb for the right reasons. The way it ended up in your journey was totally wrong. Wrong herb, wrong dose, wrong everything.
My life was saved partially due to herbs. So I would like to offer two tidbits of advice:
1)Never buy an herb without researching it well.
2)Never buy an herb that has other herbs mixed in it (need to try each individually so we know what causes what)
3)Never start with the full recommended dose....I think manufacturers often have the doses way too high....same with docs for that matter....anyway start with half dose max, 1/1oth dose even better.Think what suffering you would have avoided with those rules?
Even worse....your ultimate cure could very well be in the herbal category, it is almost for sure not in the medication category, but with this scare you might have scared yourself right out of the game. I hope not.
Yohimbe is a powerful stimulant. I sometimes am surprised it is legal. If someone never had a panic attack, never had anxiety, but they were just curious what those feel like....a normal dose of yohimbe will do that! A crumb is perfect for mood, but no more than a crumb. The stuff is so strong. I don't think the pharmaceutical industry even has a med that strong on norepinephrine.
This is the end of the thread.
