I've only used atenolol and propranolol.

I have read that atenolol is effective against anxiety. Interestingly, unlike other BBs, it does not cross the blood-brain barrier. Perhaps its reducing sympathetic flow also reduces sensory feedback. Do you know anything about this?

I have heard that atenolol is "cardioselective". I question this, since it is quite effective for me, in terms of sensory overload.
I have used it for cardiac specific anxiety (racing heart) but it seems to be able to also reduce hyper-vigilance (difficulty switching into sleep mode at nighttime).
