I can't wait until they do more research on gut bacteria etc.
For me the two times I've tried probiotic pills I've gotten worse :-/
But I'm like that. Vitamin D and fish oil tend to make me depressed too....
But yea I'm sure theres more research to come and hopefully better insight into which strains/etc are helpful.

For me, anticipatory anxiety leads to diarrhea but i get bunged up when depressed. Whether this is purely nerves or whether probiotics play a part I don't know. But i do eat a 450g pot of live yogurt each day. Maybe not enough, or the wrong bacteria.

I eat non fat Greek yougurt daily I need to add a probiotic back in what can it hurt?

Hi Pippa,
I have just started taking them, I'm a bit skeptical though :-) I don't tend to have stomach problems when I'm depressed, just nausea from the anxiety (I Think)
I will let you know how I get on with them.
