To continue a conversation from above about using full range of life to help with depressive symptoms. My old pdoc was great with holistic changes, sleep, diet, exercise, etc.
right now it feels a bit like a cruel trick... i can't feel much better, without better holistic changes, but i can't seem to do the changes unless i feel better.
So i'm stair stepping both and not putting too much expectations on myself as that just frustrates me further.exercise when i have energy (with help of adderall -Finally) in the a.m. i can at least get outside and play with kid a little.
sleep- again (yes some of you will reject this) but adderall relaxes me to help me sleep and i'm starting to get to bed earlier.. about 11pm. waking much better rested feeling.
and diet... its a work in progress.meds.
So i met with pdoc again today. this time i was determined Not to leave until she had SOME type of plan in mind for me.
i suggested going back up to 100 on pristine (50 has never worked for me), going to adderall 20 will help me but not the underlying depression and i NEED that worked on. I also mentioned to her about how the lamicatal did seem to start helping my mood and maybe the swelling was a fluke like the instance with zyprexa. (she said we'd "Table that for another time maybe")So i kept throwing out ideas (that she kept nixing) until she finally suggested Latuda. i have not been on that, supposedly no weight gain. So i said yes absolutely.
She gave me some 20 and 40 tabs to try.
so i will try these and see her at the end of next week.PLEASE let this help!!!!!
i did finally have a long conversation with pdoc today about meds. and how i needed to know what the plan is or will be. i can't just hope it gets better a week at a time. i told her the adderall is helping but is not solving the underlying depression that pops up through out the day.

B2chica,
I haven't taken Latuda, although I think that in most cases taking antipsychotics at night tends to be best. I'm not sure how activating Latuda is, though, so maybe somebody who's taken Latuda will weigh in with some first-hand experience.
I mainly just wanted to wish you luck with the Latuda. I too hope that you'll find the medication to be beneficial.

ok.
nothing phenomenal, but better than i was.
i still have lows in the afternoons, when i see pdoc this friday i'm going to beg her to let me take adderall in the afternoon. if she doesn't agree i'm going to just do it and see if it makes the difference, if positive i'll report it to her.however, i recently had something happen that has kicked up my ptsd and i'm struggling a bit.
i'm ruminating, gloomy if i'm not keeping myself 100% busy. and having some negative thoughts come in.
thanks Z.
