I have this horrible Nardil Crash every evening like after 5 pm, Have anyone else experienced it? Nardil works great from 8am to 5pm, but after that it feel like amphetamine crash? Any advise how to avoid this. I tend to drink 2 bears to help the empty feeling of the crash, but it dosent cure the problem! I'm on total of 75mg devided to two dosages- 8am and 3pm.

TopDog

Back in the good old days with Parke Davis brand I would feel good during the day but if I had to stay at work the stress would make me crash. Anxiety would hit the panic button. At home no problem.

Today I'm not at 50% with the Nardil used but it doesn't crash until after bedtime. Then @ 3 hours to kick in after dosing in AM.

What I would do for these crashes is go from 60mg
to 120mg for a few days and things would level out. Pls. be careful with the rapid dose increase as hypertension may hit. I keep propananol just in case........good luck

Thank you! I'll try, hope it works, but little lower first, like 105mg , just in case.

Has anybody else have this Nardil crash effect, is is it caused by dopamine depletion by the end of a day?

Regards!

It's a hormone thing. Sounds very much like a low cortisol trough at that time of the day for you. The best help for those clusters of issues is one of several adaptogenic herbs, rhodiola my favorite most reliable, but mixed with nardil I would not try that.

It does sound like a low cortisol thing....study foods and supplements you could take to boost it and support it.

My prozac/zyprexa used to do that same thing you described. It ended up being totally fixed with rhodiola. It was adrenal/cortisol the whole time. Our meds do very little to help with that and often make it worse due to the extra stress from side effects and such.
