Hi,
I'm diagnosed with anxiety disorder.
I'm currently taking Tianeptine 3 tabs 3 times a day. It helps me a lot (standard dosage 1-1-1 doesn't work), but didn't take all the anxiety off.
Another drug which helped me a lot was Amisulpride - 50 mg once daily.
Tianeptine (in higher dosages) and Amisulpride (in lower dosage)increase dopamine. And I think increasing dopamine helps my anxiety.
So I would like to add selegiline - 5-10 mg in the morning.
1. Can I take it with tianeptine? I know MAOI shouldn't be mixed with SSRI's and TCA'a, but tianeptine is SSRE (selective serotonin reuptake enhancer) and selegiline up to 10mg is MAO-B inhibitor (it only acts on dopamine).
So I would like to take tinaptine 3 tabs 3 times a day, and selegiline 1 tablet (5 or 10 mg) a day.2. If I cannot take selegiline with tianeptine, then I would like to take amisulpride 1 tab 50 mg a day, and selegiline 1 tab (5 or 10 mg) a day.
What do you think?
Thank you.

> Thank you.I would be hesitant to combine tianeptine with a MAOI unless you know a doctor who has experience with this. Despite tianeptine being described as being the "opposite" of a SSRI, I don't know what its secondary effects on serotonin pathways are. I did find this, though:

Amisulpride should be okay.
Regarding TCAs, you can mix MAOIs with desipramine or nortriptyline. I am currently taking Parnate with nortriptyline.

Thank you for your reply Scott.
Let's see what others might say.
In Poland docs dont't know much about ssre, and mixing it with maoi's.
