Hi, my doctor just switched me from the regular Wellbutrin to the Wellbutrin SR. He told me there is not difference in potency, but all long-acting drugs I've taken have been less potent than their short acting versions. Is my doctor right? He isn't right about most things so I seem to question everything. Thank you.

it's all bupropion, i was on wellbutrin XR in 2004 300mg, it releases in the morning, the afternoon, then around 5pm....i rerember because i would be in class and start to feel a slight stimulation
really tell you to truth i don't think there....but what you could do is there is medication called Aplenzin which is basically bupropion but it's a diffrent and better delivery system
ask him about that
