Sick from Minocycline?

Posted by brynb on September 23, 2014, at 11:08:29

Hi All-

I just finished a short course (a week) of Solodyn for my skin--it's essentially Minocycline.

I awoke at 4 am sick as a dog: severe leg and ankle pain (which I've had the last few days); severe stomach pain; sore throat and stiff/achy neck; and stiff/swollen hands. (Those are just the more prominent symptoms.) I feel awful.

I vaguely remember either Scott or Blueaberry mentioning a reason why people react this way/get sick from Minocycline.

Anyone know why or what it could suggest?

Thanks.

Bryn I also was given it for my skin what looked like a staph infection from going to the dentist for dental work. Only took it one day as had horrific headache. So instead the dermatologist gave me topical antibiotics instead. Are you sure you don't have the flu or something else? Bleuberry would most likely say that you had toxins and it was killing them off and that only tiny bits needed. Should be in the archieves. Scott I won't answer for. But don't think he had any problems with it. Jeroen likes it. Did you google minocycline? Phillipa
