Ok well here is my situation I currently take invega sustenna for psychosis and am transitioning to Aripiprazole 10mg because of sexual troubles with the invega...
I was wondering if somethings where to ever happen while taking Aripiprazole, like TD or get pre diabetic and need to change meds can I take another "piprazole" medication like the new one that will come out soon I think its called Brexpiprazole?
Or does it have the be another antipsychotic entriely different?

TD can happen with any antipsychotic. Abillify is supposed to be safer than Risperdal or, say, Haldol. Long term data is lacking, so...who knows? I take antioxidants and b vitamins to lessen the risk.
Abilify doesn't cause metabolic issues as often as other drugs, but the risk is not 0. I read about the upcoming "son of Abilify." I don't know when/if its coming out.
Good luck to you!

besides availability there's no reason you could
n't take it. You could take any AAP you want - not all cause TD or diabetes.Eric
