Hi, has anyone combined Remeron and stimulants and slept well and not gained weight?I'm hoping I can counteract the Remeron-induced weight gain by combining the two.

I tried it and still gained weight. I took Vyvanse + Adderall (if needed) and it didn't off set the weight gain. However, I tend to gain weight very easily on ADs despite watching my diet.
Good luck

Hi, thanks for the response. Did your weight ever stabilize while you were/are on remeron or did you just keep gaining?

First time I went on Remeron (without stimulants) I gained 30 lbs in the span of two months. I had never been overweight before that. Once I stopped, despite losing most of the weight, I was never able to get back to my original weight. I decided to try it again but this time adding stimulants to counteract the weight gain but it didn't work. As soon as a gained 8 lbs, I stopped. Is the Remeron mainly for sleep? If so perhaps you could try Gabapentin. I believe at lower dosages it does not affect weight as bad as Remeron.

Wow, Remeron is for sleep. I tried gabapentin, but it didn't do anything even at doses greater than 1,000 mg :(

I combined Vyvanse and Remeron, slept fine and never gained a pound.

No weight gain on remeron + dexadrine, but my body grew accustomed to remeron after about three week, and it no longer helped with sleep. However I recall that does not happen in every case.
I quickly developed a tolerance to gabapentin, too :(

My body developed a tolerance untiil I got to 22.5 mg. Once I got to 22.5, that worked for good. Did you ever go that high? If you didn't, you should give it a shot.

I somehow stumbled on a patent online for Remeron at night and an amphetamine during the day. I guess its like a modern day goof ball? Seem like it'd work...like a super charged version of California Rocket fuel (?) .
