Pristiq and NE

My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere... does Pristiq at the recommended 50mg hit NE at all or just serotonin? I know that Effexor hits NE at higher doses....

I think it hits NE. If I remember correctly (and I could very well be wrong), Pristiq is much more balanced in its serotonin: NE effects than old school Effexor.

But I could be wrong.

It does not. Pristiq 100mg. would. Pristiq 50mg. is doing what Effexor 75mg. is doing which is not effecting NE.

Enjoying Cherry Cheesecake shake at Sonic jamming to tunes simultaneously browsing the web using this iPhone 5S (lol, I'm addicted to the newest things) I'm listening to this new "trap" genre testing out the sound system in my '14 Lexus LX570 (yes, I could have bought 3 '14 Camrys but I like what like lol); it's the Mark Levinson 19-speaker that goes beyond the hearing range of some people. I sound like a gangsta, lol.

But, I just wanted to note that Pristiq 100mg. gives you venlafaxine 150mg., which is basically threshold NE activity. You'll either need to get your doctor to prescribe more than the suggested limit of Pristiq at 150mg. to get to 300mg. venlafaxine which is the targeted NE dose. This might go against insurance quantity dispensed limits as well.

The real way to obtain the NE effect is venlafaxine extended-release capsules 300ng. Or Pristiq 150mg.

Good luck with your treatment, and please let me know if you have further questions I'm very knowledgable lol.

Company only allows under their vehicle program where you can elect to buy a new truck or SUV every three years. I work in agricultural business AMS (Ag Management Solutions) technology, Irrigation Solutions, Satellite Land Leveling and Crop/Soil/Fertilizer Analysis and Prescriptions. I need a large SUV or truck to haul all of my equipment.

Tired of dealing with the truck setup and observing success with Tahoes, I knew I wanted a SUV. I also travel a lot so I need a comfortable ride, but the main reason the company and I agreed on the Lexus LX570 is because it's based on the rugged Toyota LandCruiser.

Generally, no one pays out of pocket for their vehicle (well it might be some weird amount like $3,000) but they warned me I would since it was invoiced at $90,665 (I wanted the Starfire White Pearl color from Jackson, MS). I'm sure the company haggled the price down.

They told me I was responsible for $17,280 to be paid as $480 even over a 36 month period after which I could elect to select a new vehicle as long as I trade in my prior one again. I bet the company paid nearly $70,000 for a vehicle I'm only going to drive three years. Keep in my mind my trade-in is a $49,500 F-250 King Ranch that I paid $4,500 for (I believe they prefer paying for utility type vehicles their policy manual is extensive).

Welp, enough random rambling Sonic meal is over.

Time to speed home! :O lol

It will have some affinity for norepenephrine receptors, but like Effexor doesn't exert full effects until higher doses are administered.

It'll have just some NE action, but nowhere near as much as Cymbalta and Savella.

I'm on 150-200mg of Pristiq and can definitely feel the NE hit at these higher doses (mostly as side effects!).
