My pdoc says to take my Risperdal (which is helping my depression btw!) at night bc it can make you drowsy and my pharmacist said the same thing. But I feel like it is making it harder for me to fall asleep. Does anyone take it in the morning? Is that a no-no?

No, it's fine. If it doesn't make you sleepy you can safely take it in the morning.

I took the Risperdal this morning and didn't feel any drowsiness. Feel great actually. This med rocks for me. Thanks!

wow I am so happy to hear someone else loving Risperdal! I'm curious what dose you are on though. I take .25 and it takes away the anger spasms I get and I chill with pretty much everything lol my husband will PAY me to stay on it lol. Having a bit of an issue with it at the moment but not sure if Risperdal related or not and praying it is NOT!

cool! happy for you too! i have no depression (and i had major depression for most of my life except when SSRIs worked for me which they don't anymore) and tons more energy. the work day even ends too soon for me. but having some anger/agitation/mood swings . . wonder if i should back down dose. started at .25 then .5. didn't notice diff between .5 and 1 mg which is where i am now. anger could be pms too. i am also bipolar .. .i think 2 but pdoc says type 1.
anyone have any thoughts about backing down on dose?
