Some of the same meds we do. Right now have two dogs on antibiotics. No one to answer questions on them. And different medical problems with them. Did you know they take even psych meds? I was googling and found they do too. I wonder if work in animals as they can't talk themselves into or out of a side effect. Would make an interesting study. Thanks P

I have a 13 year old Akita and last fall she became very anxious and scared. We tried keeping her anxiety down with the Thunder Shirt, and it helped at first.
Soon after her vet put her on 10mg of Prozac and 2mg of Xanax. She has arthritis as well.
She is like a new dog. We thought we were going to have to put her down, but since the Prozac she is sooooo happy. I believe it will add years to her life. The vet is happy too.
Prozac in senior dogs makes a huge difference in their life. Also, I have a very senior grandmother and her doctor put her on Zoloft and it has made a huge difference in her life.

That is fantastic!!! I knew some of the ad's were appropriate for pets. Knew valium was as had a pup that took it for Alzheimers? Granny takes Zoloft? Reminds me of when I worked as psych RN this little old lady in wheel chair was admitted and put on Prozac and soon she was wearing make up and smiling & feeling great. Thanks for the heart warming story. Phillipa
