I've been taking trazodone for 3 nights 25mgs in hopes of stopping ambien before it becomes a problem.
Getting to sleep was tough but I didn't wake up in the middle of the night, and didn't have the weird SSRI shakes and sweats.
Also a lot of the typical hypervigilance and irritability, guilty racing thoughts were dampened...but so were my workout. Wondering if it has to do with hypotension?
on top of it all it started making my sleep worse. Took a night off last night in favor of ambien. Perhaps a higher dose may help?
I took serzone before and it messed with my sleep for a solid two weeks before leveling out. It's a weird, detatched feeling also.

25mg trazodone is a very low dose. Most take 50 to 150mg for sleep.

I'll give the larger dose a try some night when sleep isn't too big a deal or I don't have a workout planned for the next day.
I'm still wondering if the lower energy has to do with hypotension and/or NE blockage.

Trazodone has a short Half Life. Usually does not make people tired in the morning.

I tried trazodone recently without any imipramine in my system and I have no problem exercising.
