Hi there. I've been on 150mg Effexor XR for about 4 years. A few months ago I started tapering down, by pouring about a 1/3 of the pellets out of the capsules. A few days ago I started taking regular Effexor - the tablet form - because it's easier to tell how much I'm taking that way.......bc pouring out the pellets was just guessing. I feel like HELL!!! My Fibromyalgia pain is going through the roof, I'm having heart palpitations and hot/cold flashes. I feel like I'm going through godawful withdrawal symptoms - but the only thing I've done is change from the XR to the regular. ??? Help? Thank you!

Quite a few years ago there was a very long thread on Effexor withdrawal. There is a google bar if you put Effexor in with withdrawal I do think this will come up. Could be before the pellets though. Good luck and sorry you feel so horrible. Phillipa

But I didn't go off Effexor - I just switched from XR to the regular. I think I'm taking about the same amount milligram-wise. I didn't think my body would even notice the difference. :(
