My doc gave me low dose Depakote to try instead of Trileptal. She said to take it at night, which caused sleep problems and depression.
I took Trileptal last night just to get some sleep. Not sure if I should low dose Trileptal and low dose Depakote at same time?
This morning I had my usual anxiety (possible akathesia from Trileptal).
I decided to try low dose Depakote during the day. I took it this morning and I feel a ton better. I don't feel goofy or foggy like I would on Klonopin. It really seems to get rid of the anxiety.
But I'm wondering if the depression will creep back and also am concerned about how to get some sleep.
I take 6mg of melatonin for sleep already. I can take either a low dose of Geodon (which would help with sleep and any residual depression), or I could take 2mg of klonopin.
If the daytime Depakote works, how do I deal with sleep issues?
I hate to go back to Geodon if I don't have to, but if it will help with low grade depression and sleep, then I guess I will.
What do you think?
This is the end of the thread.
