Hello Nardil nation
I have studied Nardil for a long time now trying to get the most benifit from the new Nardil . As we all now the makers took most of the compounds out of the Nardil. Back in 2 003 . I think that they realized that it was to good a ad and
Made the changes. They took out about 12 compounds in 2003 and thought that it would still be ok for everyone, I have been on both nardils I know what the dif is. Anyways thanks to big t and a couple of more babblers I have come up with some different strategies to enhance todays NardilUse only enteric capsules to put your Nardil in this will make a lot of the side effects easier to handle and also take the med into your small intestine where it will do the most good
Get the big caps this will allow you to put two pills in one capsule making the drug work better this is one that u should test out and see if you notice any increase in efface
The next thing I tried was two get a hold of all the missing compounds that physre took out. Yes it took a lot off hunting and help from a very smart compounder lady but glory b I did itThe missing compounds. - acacia calcium Corn starch, gelatin, kaolin, sucrose, talc, wheat flower, carnuba wax, shellac, white wax, pure water, magnesium. Wow these compounds are so simple.
The next test I did was to add flower corn starch and calcium into my capsule and cut my pill into 2peices and then try your morning dose you have to remember that it takes about five hours for your capsule to get into your small intestine and then it will disintegrate. This has improved the med by about 5 percent for me.
I have tried all the missing compounds with my capsules and actuly got the famous Nardil feeling for two or three days now the feeling has settled down to just feeling normal. Wow normal that is a sweet word.

"Normal again" can indeed be a good place to be. I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, and I hope that you'll continue to benefit from the slightly modified version of Nardil that you're taking.

Hello big t I have written you a few posts on the other subjects that you were involved with if there was anybody who has helped me with there wisdom it is you and I thank you for all the info on Nardil that you passed on I was able to study and put together a better way of taking the new Nardil if I can help you or anyone it would be most happy to do so

Where do you get those enteric capsules? What dosse of NArdil are you on and do you tak it with anything else?
I just started Latuda and have gotten a very good response where only MAOs typically have worked for me for my TRD.
Thank you for you sleuthing on this case of Nardil missing components.

you can get enteric capsules from a compounding drug store if one does not have it keep searching
I take 90mg and put my two doses thre times a day in one caqpsule

god help us it is so simple to make the nardil work for you if doubling up the dose does not help mthere is many more options ceee

I think that there could be different reasons for why more people don't seem to be so interested in improving the performance of the currently marketed film-coated Nardil tablets. As you mentioned, I think that the number of patients taking Nardil on this board isn't very high, which could reflect general prescribing trends or might also reflect the possibility that those who are doing well on Nardil are busy with their lives and not spending time on this site. Another possibility could be that fewer people might be responding to Nardil than in the past (possibly due to the formulation change) and thus aren't taking it in the numbers that they used to. It could also be possible that the patients taking Nardil who visit this board are happy with the way that the film-coated tablets are affecting them and don't want to change a product that's already working for them. I know that there have been a few individuals here who've posted success stories with treatment regimens that involve Nardil use. Finally, I think that those who had the greatest interest in taking an improved Nardil product were those who were taking the medication at the time the formulation was changed and that as time has passed, more and more of those who have taken Nardil have only taken new Nardil and aren't as interested in the Nardil that used to be as those who took both versions of the medication. In my opinion, those who had the greatest interest in seeing old Nardil resurrected were those who were doing well on the medication for many years and noticed a significant change for the worse in the way the medication affected them after the formulation was changed. At this point, I think that a lot of these individuals have either found an effective "plan B" as far as their psychiatric treatment is concerned or are just managing as well as they can with new Nardil or some other treatment.
