I'm 29. I've been varying degrees of batsh!t from 19 until very recently.
What kinda work do former crazy people do? I have college credits in the social sciences, so I could get a 4 degree relatively quickly...but in what?
I'm starting to suspect that capitalism is crazy people's #1 enemy.

They become psychiatrists?! I lost my job the last time I went to crazy town, but by then, I was 44. 9 months later(my episodes always last 9 months) I realized I was jobless. Luckily, I found I had an interest in my husbands company & I learned a new way to live. It is so diff from the job I had b4. But I changed too so I feel as if I've stepped into another life. U adjust tho & go forward. Good luck to u.

teach
i can tell from your posts that you are a generous spirit.
i recommend this because the knowledge that a person possesses once they make it thru 'crazy' would be such a wonderful gift to give to young people. so many of whom have mental health issues. you could truly inspire.
i'm not saying you have to be in front of 40 teens each class. it could even be tutoring one-on-one with a kid who is struggling emotionally.
i used to teach over 200+ teens a day. i'm looking now to hopefully get back to teaching at a school that is a one-on-one deal. i'm hoping my best teaching is still to come.

If you're particularly good at something (or a few things), try freelancing or working as an independent contractor. You're basically working for yourself, so you can essentially set your own schedule, get paid fees that you set, and don't have to worry about HR checking up on your past jobs or references!

You seem interested in ortho-molecular medicine. Could you do a course and become some form of therapist?
This is the end of the thread.
