Hi, are there any new antidepressants overseas that are extremely effective for treating depression.

not sure but what I never understood about the European; metformin was available in Europe for many ears before coming to the states...luvox was used frequently in Europe starting in 1983 for depression before coming to the states in 1994 with an ocd approval but not depression......go figure

That is interesting because I take Luvox for depression. It's the only drug that helps me sleep through the night. I'm wondering if I can actually take another SSRI along side Luvox, since it isn't considered an OCD med. I've never asked my doc about this. What do you take for depression. Any recommendations?

I combine a small dose of Lexapro with my luvox. Been on this med for many years. Not sure if you saw the other thread that said that luvox also helps with sleep as melatonin implicated. Phillipa
