Has anyone here tried Deplin recently? I know it was a little bit of a fad a while back but I haven't heard much recently. My doctor suggested last week that it has demonstrated some efficacy when added to an SSRI and may be proving to have anti-inflammatory properties as well.
I tried it when it first hit the market and didn't stay with it. I don't recall the specific reasons for why I stopped by I don't recall any sort of robust response.

My psychiatrist is a proponent of Deplin. He uses it often. I tried it but found it too powerful and it actually aggravated my depression and anxiety. Definitely not placebo for me.

Your reaction is mine as well, with Deplin and many, many other treatments. Things that seem to help other people, or to not make much of a difference one way or the other, end up being too strong or not tolerable for me.Bob

> BobI currently take 7.5mg of Deplin, as an adjunct to Lamictal. I think it helps a little, but as you said it certainly is not anything robust. I've never tried the higher 15mg dose. I see a new doctor in three weeks and am going to discuss. I have a feeling I'll probably drop it though. Apparently the best application for Deplin is as an adjunct to SSRI it is supposed to make the AD work sooner.
I haven't heard about it having anti-inflammatory properties that is interesting.
