Hi everyone sorry ive been gone for some reason i have trouble signing on to babble.Anyway for any who knows me knows ive used parnate and parnate only as my main anti depressant.I also worked hard to find a overall cocktail to handle the various problems.
Heres the newest one i have and its real important i get past it.See i teach boxing for a living and want to open a gym for boxing and weight training.I have also lifted since 16.
I am very strong with a bench of 350,i used to be nice looking with nice cuts etc.THEN out of no where i start packing on pounds ,were talking over the 300 lb range.
It happened so fast.I swiftly took action ,my diet now has been fine , my girl makes my food and its always a healthy plate with never more then a single serving.I still work out lift everyday and added extreme cardio workouts as well.
I went and checked my thyroid and its ok ,checked my blood sugar its ok i am not able to seem to get a doc to see this for the serious thing it is,i mean were talking dangerous weight gain here.
Right now i have the weight training ,cardio , green caffiene ,boxing ,diet and more down.I also take metaformin a drug sometimes succesful for helping with weight gain.
HERES MY fear ,im one of the high dose parnate users ,if my dose is under 120 mg a day i simply wont get the relief i need.
But thinking here ,i know maoi b affects the brain , and maoi a effects THE BODY ,so im wondering actualy im terrified that the maoi is inhibiting something that is causing this weight gain.
Please help ,i cant promote helping people box or weight train when i look like this.Thanks.

for me, parnate didn't cause any weight gain (I actually lost the 50+ pounds I had gained on AAPs), but i take a much lower dose (30mg).
I know the feeling though, from my experience with AAPs. You know you're doing everything right in terms of diet and exercise, but you still can't seem t control your weight.
Have you been to a regular doctor -- had thyroid checked, etc.?
I wish you well. I know how discouraging this can be.

Walgreens sells a green tea pill that has made me lose 15 lbs in a hurry once.
ALSO (but a doc would tell you not to do this)I lost 10 lb this past August accidentally by lowering my dose of Navane to 4 mg from 8 mg and continuing innocently to take my (embarrassing but I'll share it with you anyway) stool softener--i had diarrhea for a month. Couldnt figure it out I needed the stool softener because of the Navane and it took my body a month to adjust.
SOOO
If you take a stool softener (and dont normally need one) for a month you'll drop some weight in a hurry because the food wont be in your system long emough to stick around and be fat. And you wont lose enough nutrients to die.Tam
