I doubt I will ever try an AP again but if I do, it sounds like the one I will try. Last time I tried an AP it was risperidal. Made me have waking dreams, When I woke in the morning I was normal except the dream I was having prior to waking up was still playing in my head while I was working and using power tools.. MF HORRIBLE FEELING! Like being split in half concious and half asleep. I live in fear almost every day of that feeling to return. Its been over a decade. Dr. said it was a paradoxical effect.

I think if you can avoid APs, you should. I need one for a while. Slightly higher than average (20mgs) Abilify is my go to drug. No prolactin elevation, no EPS, no dysphoria. Not a wonder drug, but tolerable.I *hated* Risperdal, too.

Olanzapine is not a benzo. It does not bind to the same receptors in the brain. Although it is sedating, it works in a completely different way to benzos.
This is the end of the thread.
