My doctor gave me Propanolol for anxiety/panic attacks. My thyroid level is too high right now and I asked for more klonopin for my panic attacks. She said no and gave me this other med.
I've been on klonopin for a long time and I'm scared to try a beta blocker.

Propranolol is Inderal isn't it? If so it's contraindicated with thyroid disease. I myself was given Lopressor instead for that same reason. Phillipa

Yes.

No it isn't, beta blockers are used to combat the effects of excess thyroid hormone.

I just googled it and only used in hyperthyroidism not hypothyroidism. Phillipa

Nothing to worry about. Common side effects are benign. Though its not a good replacement for Klonopin. Ask your doctor about Gabapentin or Lyrica.
