I switched to generic. Was doing great. Pharmacy switched it up. Went ballistic. I think the original generic was forest with FL on tablet. I know they make the brand. Could they have possibly made generic as well? Confused. Thx

Did you try googling it? If the pharmacy can't figure it out? Do you have a bottle with old script name? As the manufacturer should be printed on it. Phillipa

Some manufacturers of brand name drugs also make generic versions of their products as preparations with different appearances and packaging. As far as I can tell, Forest is not doing this with Lexapro (escitalopram). There are quite a few different generic drug companies making escitalopram. Teva was the first one granted license to sell a generic and was the exclusive manufacturer for the first 6 months after the patent expired. You might be able to find out what generic drug company your pharmacy (wholesaler) used to fill your previous orders, and then request for that company by name for future refills.
