I originally was under the impression I was pure major depressive + mild agoraphobia disorder. It seems now that I think I have agitated or mixed depression (something on the bipolar spectrum).
When I've tried drugs with any NET or DAT inhibition mechanism I end up having suicidal thoughts and mood swings and it turns out really badly. It happened with Parnate, it happened with Cymbalta (worst offender) and Nardil, and I think it's happening right now with Wellbutrin XL (Been on it for 8/9 days).
I decided to go back on Zoloft since it gets rid of a LOT of my depression but leaves anhedonia or dysthymia (mild/moderate, more moderate); Which is why I added wellbutrin XL.
What can I use to help my agitated depression? People have advised me lithium or depakote as a mood stabilizer. I CANT USE LAMOTRIGINE BECAUSE MY THROAT CLOSED ON IT (maybe lamictal brand?).
I have yet to try any antipsychotics with Zoloft. Please, ideas...I really need help with this.
BTW Gabapentin lowers my anxiety pretty damn well I'd say, but it gives me anorgasmia.
But anyways, with Zoloft alone I have moderate anxiety and anhedonic symptoms left :(
