Thyroid cancer has been reported in the post-marketing setting in association with minocycline products. When minocycline therapy is given over prolonged periods, monitoring for signs of thyroid cancer should be considered.
I've read this on wikypedia
this is very disturbing news
it also sais safe and effective treatment for schizophrenia

Jeroen I've not read of thyroid cancer with minocycline? I will google the wike and see. Phillipa

Jeroen you are correct. And also didn't know it had been put on the FDA watch list of meds in 2009. Seems like it is both good and bad. Phillipa
