I visit my pdoc on Monday and I am currently on a very small dose of clozapine. I thought latuda would be a good choice but I read that there's a high dropout rate with latuda. I also got td from geodon so I don't know if latuda has a high td rate. If anyone has any insight that would be great. Oh I don't know if saphris is good for depression. I appreciate any input. My diagnosis is bp1. There should be a bipolar site on psychobabble.

Saphris was good with my depression and my obsessive negative thoughts. It was not kind to my metabolism, but I think I am extremely sensitive. Anyways, I had to stop. I took it at night and slept wonderfully. BTW my chart currently says BPll. Whatever one calls it, recurrent depression is one of my issues.
I personally would not rely on Saphris for mania control. And it is not indicated for it either. But if you could get some relief from those racing thoughts, that would be great.

clozapine is effective vary good for schizodisorders, but its just so sedating and causing side effects that really make life seem gloomy....you could increase the clozapine but there are more psychological side effects, sedation, block thoughts.....really stick with Saphris or maybe zyprexa....

I wonder if saphris is good for depression? I know clozapine is a huge weight gainer. Rjockhart37 have you taken clozapine...what dosage? I'm really depressed right now and I'm not wild about being even on a small dose of clozapine.
If anyone has taken saphris can you share your experience.

there was video on youtube about a guy on the max dose of clozapine and said it causes drooling....
but i found this article....clonzpine is good for lowering suicide thoughts...too...
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1693912/but i take zyprexa i has made me gain tons of weight but clozapine is a vary heavy duty antipsychotic...strong.
start with saphris....clozipine used as the first treatment option would be extreme, its potent, usally used after other APs have not worked....

Thanks RJ. I think I might suggest that to the dr.
