Posted by cee on June 20, 2013, at 0:47:09

hello gang
I have all the coumpounds to the old nardil and have discovered a interesting mix. I have crushed my nardil into a enteric capsule and added white flower ,magnesium powder and corn starch with about 4 drops of isopropyl rubbing alcohol. I put a extra cap of alcohol to the mix. wow the nardil effect has increased by at least 10 per cent. I am open for discussion big t where are you

Hi Cee,

I think it's nice that you seem to be noticing a difference in the way Nardil affects you with everything that you've done to it. But are you sure that adding extra isopropyl alcohol into the mix really increased the "Nardil effect?" Isopropyl alcohol is listed as an ingredient in the "new" Nardil and not the old version. It's my understanding that isopropyl alcohol is used as a solvent both for tablet film coating and for tablet granulation and that with both procedures, the alcohol used ends up being removed by evaporation (Beasley, 2003). It's also stated in the Handbook of Pharmaceutical Excipients (Beasley, 2003) that isopropyl alcohol is not recommended for oral use due to its toxicity.

So, bottom line: I wouldn't mess with the isopropyl alcohol. I don't see the harm that using the enteric capsules or that adding white wheat flower, magnesium powder, or corn starch would cause, but consuming isopropyl alcohol isn't recommended.

I don't know nardil but read the post and saw the alcohol and thought it couldn't be rubbing alcohol as that's toxic isn't it? So is it this? If so could be the reason for the new feelings as some severe alcoholics consume it and die. Who was the famous person that substituted rubbing alcohol was it Betty Ford or a Kennedy? A long time ago? Phillipa

Hi Phillipa,

Yes, isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol is toxic. It says on a bottle of it that I have to seek medical help or to contact a Poison Control Center right away if any rubbing alcohol is swallowed. I'm not sure who's died from ingesting isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, but I would strongly advise Cee not to ingest any more of the stuff.
