Joe I think it was said in ignorance as when I started on it was the favorite of the pdocs. What they don't like is the potentiation of some meds with it. But then Grapefruit is a no no with many meds as it messes with them. How many docs even know this I wonder? Phillipa

just curious as what you mean a favorite of the pdocs..as it never was a blockbuster like the other ssri's..it kinda just sneaked into the country for ocd in 1994...as it has been around since 1983..3 years before Prozac..and was used for depression in Europe many years..the company that promoted it in the u.s. only went after ocd approval not depression.....strange history of this drug

It's not taboo to use it, just has interactions like other meds that aren't used because of interactions like nardil or parnate.
Luvox is a good drug apparently, I just know it doesn't go well with coffee consumption because it inhibits caffeine enzymes.
