I've read many cases where lexapro is the 1st AD someone is prescribed. Why do pdocs like it so much?

it might be that perhaps it comes in 2 doses and has lower drug interactions..my two sense

Taking it and not enteric coated so can be split with pill splitter. Said to be cleaner than celexa the sister drug. Phillipa

my dr. seemed to really like it ..once again as i see it fewer side effects and fewer drug interactions...especially if you are on multiple meds

Lexapro and Zoloft have been found to be the most efective of the SSRI group of drugs, so its usual to use one of these two first
