Pdoc decided to give it a try, adding it to my cocktail in hopes of relieving Savella side effects. It would be great for insomnia if it weren't for the long half life of 12hrs. I wake up groggy the next day and it continues all through the day.
I was hoping to see relief from:
sexual disfunction
nightmares
sweating
insomnia
anxietySeems to be decreasing all of these side effects but at the cost of getting more depressed.
Anyone else have any knowledge about
Cyproheptadine?

> Cyproheptadine?Cyproheptadine used to be a lifesaver for me but lately it doesn't work like it used to and it makes me more depressed now. There aro other meds you could try, dopamine increasing meds. A lot of times a pdoc will add wellbutrin to serotonin meds to help with motivation and sex drive.

poser938.. May I ask what symptoms it relieved for you? Did it cause any cognitive side effects?

I took it for some lasting side effects mirapex had on me. Mirapex left my emotions blank and made me very apathetic.
Sexual dysfunction as well.Cyproheptadine VERY slowly reversed this, giving me back the ability to enjoy things. But more recently when I take it it just makes me feel depressed.
