hello. ive been on parnate a couple of months. i get some benefit so far and i plan to stick with it.
does anyone know if being on an MAOI requires someone to supplement with a vitamin or anything else. i've read that some medications can deplete things like vitamin D or folic acid and was wondering if its important to add this back in somehow. thank you.

What is your CURRENT DOSE of Parnate?
Vitamin D3 and folic acid, its only if youre taking an AED like Topamax (topiramate) or if you take a valproate like Depakote (divalproex sodium).
Vitamin D isnt water soluble, its almost easy to build up a toxic amount: http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminD-HealthProfessional/#h8
If you eat a healthy diet you don't need either IMO.

Also most natural of D available from the sun. Not a lot just maybe 15 minutes. Phillipa
