Hi,
I am on 100mg of Zoloft for anxiety and depression as well as 2.5 of Zyprexa. The Zyprexa is not controlling the anxiety I have and is making me eat everything, so I'm hoping to go another route to calm this anxiety. I am thinking I'll either try Lamictal again, or another antipsychotic such as Geodon.I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions besides a benzo? The anxiety feels like a constant frustrated, on edge feeling. It is very bad, and I need help. Neurontin was helpful in the past, but I got a rash from it. Seroquel in a low dose was also helpful, but it doesn't work for me anymore (bad side effects). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ever tried beta blockers like clonidine? Or an AED like topamax?
I only mention topamax since its been studied for PTSD hyperarousal. It may help with the appetite issue too, allowing you to take enough zyprexa to get the anxiety under control.
Could also try something like hydroxyzine. Thats usually pretty good on anxiety.

I had terrible anxiety with zoloft as well (when I could tolerate ADs).
If Klonopin doesn't help, maybe a low dose of Trileptal would help? It's great for my anxiety (just leaves me depressed).
I wish I could take zoloft with my trileptal!

What dose do you take of the trileptal?
This is the end of the thread.
