I am between pdocs at the moment since I moved away from the area where my last one was, but haven't yet found a new one where I am now. Not looking forward to it either. I have had more bad ones than good ones, and a number of them have obviously only been in it for the money. It's really appalling when someone who is emotionally vulnerable goes to someone for help and realizes the person that is supposed to be helping them, is really trying to push and manipulate the patient into more frequent visits and unwanted therapies in order to make more money for the doctor.
Have also had pdocs brag to me about their nice houses at the seaside, try to get me to join their religion etc. I really hate it.

Another memorable one was one time when I brought in my prescription bottles to show the new doctor what I was taking. He didn't approve of one of my medications, and with a grand flourish, dropped it into the garbage can. Excuse me, that is my medication and I paid for it, you arrogant bozo.

More bad ones than good ones out there. Deduct the cost of the meds that he dropped in the waste basket from what you pay him and tell him why. Phillipa

I never went anywhere. I don't visit psych boards anymore (except this one) and only come here to see the occasional posts. I want to hope people are doing better.

I also think people post at different times, like when they're in dire need of help. I tend to post when I need feedback and my mind is whirling (a lot, lately), but there are times when I can't post or email anything because I'm too deep in a hole. It depends, I guess.
