provigil v,s nuvigil

soon im moving to provigil....i have to say Phil told me of a website ***THANK YOU PHIL**** where it tells the prices....provigil the brand name...its so ... its off the charts expensive, nuvigil is cheaper....im going to move to generic provigil....

but i've read couple things....provigil is a mood brighner, nuvigil is only for wakefulness...

anyone who takes provigil....anything would be appriciated:)

Haven't taken it, but my understanding the relationship between Provigil-Nuvigil is like that between Celexa-Lexapro and Effexor-Pristiq. Essentially they are the same drug, but the company was losing the patent, so they came up with a formulation that removed the inactive version of the molecule and marketed it under a new name. I would expect the drugs to be extremely similar other than the price tag.
