Hey guys just wondering a bit about this combo and if anyone has any experience with it or klonopin by itself? Nardil is very calming and pro social for me when at a high enough dosage, and i was wondering if adding kpin would be a good idea and have an added effect? Is kpin a pro social type of drug or is it just alchohol in a pill(alchohal isnt very pro social for me) also how long is kpin effective for and will I build a tolerance if i take everday but do not abuse it? Does klonopin help with eye contact? Guys if you can please help me out, itd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been on K since '99 and have liked it but I'm finding more, even today, that I don't like about it.
Before considering it I would recommend reading threads here and other places about the living hell you 'could' encounter if you ever want to stop it.
If I knew what I was getting into I would have not have taken it but sometimes we have to do what we have to do.
No psychiatrist will tell you what you may be faced with even 6 months down the line much less a decade or more.
Still, it does what it does very well. So does heroin which is probably easier to get off of.
I'm not anti-psychiatry by any stretch but patients must know what can/will happen on the back end.

I take klonopin .5mg at night. I have a much easier time socializing, its made me less self conscious. My anxiety much better, sleep better. However, heed what Phil said. For some, its next to impossible to taper off of. Others have no problem. And also, like Phillipa said, it can be a depressing drug for some. Though not me. I even stopped my remeron, and zoloft, was diagnosed with major depression, gad, panic. I only need to take it once a day, have occasionally taken .75mg or 1/4 of a pill during the day. Ive been on it 4 1/2 yrs.

Also, I would like to add that it does help with eye contact. Also, alcohol was pro social for me,so I dont know if thats why k helps me. I no longer drink alcohol since starting k. I take the brand roche.

Most people can take benzos long-term without too many problems, but a significant number, maybe one-third, will encounter major problems if they take benzos too long -- tolerance and interdose withdrawal. I took lorazepam almost every night for three years for insomnia. Because of tolerance, I increased my dose, and then increased it again. The interdose withdrawal eventually made my depression and anxiety worse and caused terrible gastrointestinal problems. It took me four months to taper off benzos, and it was an awful four months. Again, most people who takes benzos won't experience this, but it's something you should be on the lookout for if you decide to take Klonopin long-term. This site has a list of the symptoms of benzo withdrawal:
