I did a search last night:
- headache
- tingling or a "pins and needles" sensation
- skin rash
- muscle cramps
- there's a few reports in Japan of a rare condition called insulin autoimmune syndrome which causes hypoglycemia and antibodies directed against the body's own insulin in people who have not had previous insulin therapyPeople with diabetes need close monitoring as it has a favourable effect on blood sugar levels, which I suppose means that they'll need less insulin? It's also unknown whether it is safe for women who are pregnant or breast feeding, and people with liver or kidney problems.
Oh and it's benefits reputedly go way beyond improving metabolic syndrome. It is thought to assist with peripheral neuropathy and brain function (Alzheimer's, depression) for example.
