Hey guys,
I'm on week 7 of 10mg of escitlopram. The first few weeks were rough with side effects but most went away. Last week I felt better than I have in a while. Then all of a sudden this Monday I started feeling anxious and shaky again. Mentally I feel ok but the physical symptoms are back. Is this normal? Do I need to wait it out for a couple more weeks or call my doc? Thanks

Did your brand of pills change perhaps? I felt very sick after my pharmacist switched from teva to mylan.

Mabye, 10mg was intro, you may need standard dose of 20mg.

>Thanks! Is it normal to have breakthroughs like this? I realize I'm not even 7 weeks in yet And it's still early.... I felt like I was slowly getting better, felt great last week and literally in 12 hours I feel like I'm back to the beginning. Just needed some reassurance :-). I haven't chafed brands of meds either. Maybe I do need 20mg who knows....

Yes, absolutely. It wouldn't be normal if you *didn't* have ups and downs, especially early in treatment.

yea.. sometimes it can be a short nuerological imbalance, then it goes away...serotonin should be going good right now, im glad your doing better:) just good to have nuerontin for shakes, i was in psych hospital one time...there was a person that just flipped out all the time...had shakes, crazy...but she had said they put her on nuerontin of course im sure they used benzos too, that would be crazy if didnt....but neurontin is GREAT for shakes and psychical stuff....also Inderal but its kinda of a dirty medication due to its side effects.
meditation....yoga...visual imagination like feeling your body is releasing energy...really could help....i do it once and while but im lazy at times and don't do anything lol
glad glad glad for that your doing better...

I figured it was, it just was so sudden after having 6 pretty good weeks after starting this med. And even before I started the med my anxiety was sporadic and the last week has been a constant all day tenseness and uneasiness. That's what worries me...??
